This 18 days primates and Uganda wildlife safari will take you to the most interesting places where you will be having high chances of spotting different wildlife including the big five which play a big role in the ecosystem. See and view the beautiful nature of Uganda within these 18 days, get close to mountain gorillas while in their wild in Bwindi impenetrable national Park, chimpanzees, in Kibale and watch different primates without forgetting that you spot and record numerous bird species and many more. You will have several stopovers for relaxing and maybe having your picnic lunch before proceeding and others. Many interesting sightings will be spotted not only the mentioned ones while on your wildlife safari to Uganda.

Itinerary

As you arrive at the airport our driver guide will warmly welcome you and take you through a quick briefing about the safari and helps you with the luggage then move to the booked lodge or hotel for lunch and relax a bit. After lunch, you can have a short city tour around Kampala the capital city of Uganda then move back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

This second day will take you to Mabira forest therefore, you will wake up early morning and take your delicious breakfast and meet your driver guide and move heading to Mabira forest. You have high chances of spotting different primates for example the grey-cheeked mangabeys, varvet monkey, red-tailed monkey and many more plus many bird species since it’s a forested area. Thereafter you will move back to the lodge for lunch and relax.

Wake up early morning from your warm bed and have your breakfast as your driver guide meets you for the check out from the hotel and moves to Mbale for Sipi falls. Get a chance to view a series of three stunning waterfalls which are located in the foothills of Mount Elgon which is found in the Kapchorwa district. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and a night’s stay

Arise early morning from your warm bed, have your delicious breakfast and check out from the hotel preparing for a long journey heading to Kidepo valley National Park located in northeastern parts of Uganda. Still, on your journey before checking in you will have a stopover for lunch as well as dinner after a good time since you will check in very late. After you will proceed with your journey to the booked lodge in Kidepo.

The game drive becomes more colourful mostly during the early morning when most of the wildlife is rushing for breakfast and sunbathing before it’s hot and late evening as they are getting their dinner. For that matter, therefore, you will wake up and have your breakfast and set off for the drive in search of wildlife. Many animals will be spotted such as cheetahs, hyenas and beautiful birds like the African ostrich. Move back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Murchison is believed to be the biggest and largest national park located in the northern parts of Uganda. It is known for its powerful waterfalls and is home to numerous wildlife. Therefore, you will wake up morning take your breakfast and set off for the journey heading to Murchison. You will have a stop for lunch and continue with the journey to the booked lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Wake up early morning and have your well-prepared breakfast accompanied by a cup of coffee or tea and set off for the morning drive. Several wildlife will be spotted such as rhinos, leopards, elephants, warthog, buffalos, and many more plus beautiful bird species like bee-eaters, wax bills, herons and others. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax.

As usual, wake up and enjoy your breakfast very early, make sure that you have packed all your luggage then check out heading to Kibale National Park which is located in the western parts of the country. You have a stopover in fort portal the tourism city for lunch and relaxation before proceeding with the journey to Kibale. Check-in with the booked lodge for dinner and night stay.

Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda is done in Kibale National Park and is having two shifts that are; the morning and afternoon shifts. You will have your breakfast as early as possible and start your journey to the Kanyanchu visitor’s centre where all visitors gather to be given a group to trek. You will be briefed by a ranger guide who will lead in the field in search of chimpanzees. Trekking normally takes three hours and during this activity, other primates can be spotted such as the red colobus monkey which is the endemic specie of Kibale National Park. Retreat to the lodge for lunch and relax.

On this day you will Biden affair well to Kibale and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will wake up and have your breakfast and check out. The drive will take you about 4 to 5 hours depending on your speed and much you will see. Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most interesting protected area to do this activity where you have high chances to spot all the big five animals like elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions and hippos. You will spot the amazing and rare tree-climbing Lions sleeping up in the trees, and other wild animals for example the antelopes, giraffe, warthog, and many more. You will have a bush lunch and retreat to the lodge while spotting other wildlife you might have missed and reach the hotel for refreshing and relaxation.

Kazinga channel is well known to be connecting two crater lakes that is Lake Edward and Lake George. Therefore, you will arise early morning for breakfast and move for a great experience. Spot and record many water animals (aquatic animals) and many water birds such as kingfishers, fish eagles, pelicans and others. You will move back to the lodge for lunch as you wait for dinner and stay for a night.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to over 459 gorillas and it’s believed that it harbours almost half the number of gorillas in the whole world. You will check out from the hotel after having your breakfast and drive heading to Bwindi. On your journey checking out you will meet Lions sleeping on the road, elephants alongside and feel like passing but all in all, you have to stop and wait till they clear a way for you. You will have a stopover for lunch and proceed to check in with the booked lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Gorilla trekking is the key activity in Uganda and is mostly done in two national parks that are; Bwindi impenetrable national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park. You will wake up early morning and move to the park offices in Bwindi to get a group to trek as well as briefing and switch off for the journey. You will be helped by a ranger guide who will be fully armed in search of gorillas. After driving back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Bunyonyi is a local word which means little birds and is where the name originated from lake Bunyonyi. Therefore, wake up early morning and have your breakfast then switch off for the journey to explore more about this crater lake. You have high hopes of meeting fishermen on the shores, and during the ride, alot of beautiful birds will be recorded. Not forgetting water animals the likes of hippos, crocodiles and buffalos. Retreat and enjoy your lunch

Wake up early morning, park all your luggage, have your breakfast and check out heading to lake Mburo National park. You will have a stopover in Mbarara town for a short city tour and also lunch before checking in. Continue to the booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up for morning breakfast and move for a nature walk with a guide from the park ranger where you will spot animals like zebras, Impalas and primates like varvet monkey and many more. You can opt to do a horse ride or cultural encounter and move back to the lodge for lunch and relax preparing for the departure the next day back to Kampala.

Finally, this will mark the end of your safari for 18 days of primates and wildlife in Uganda, therefore, you will arise early morning, sunbath as you enjoy the weather conditions in Africa, have your last breakfast in Uganda and move heading to Kampala. Have a stopover in the city for lunch and visit any craft shop to buy some souvenirs to take home. After your driver guide will drop you at the airport and fly back home.
