After your breakfast, you will start on your drive to the western part of Uganda where Kibale National Park is located. You will have a stopover in Fort portal for your lunch and then continue with your drive to the park, on your drive you will be looking at Rwenzori Mountains, volcanic Crater Lake just next to the park headquarters and many more.

Immediately after checking in at the hotel, you will drive to Bigodi swamp for a nature walk where you will be able to look at some primates like the red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and several more primates. Your nature walk will become more enjoyable with the bird’s calls since the swamp homes a lot of birds like papyrus gonolek, great blue turacos, grey parrots and many others. Return to the lodge.

To catch up with time for chimpanzee trekking, you will wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to Kanyanchu visitor centre where trekking starts with a briefing and after the ranger guide who briefed you will lead to the rainforest of Kibale to search for these primates.

Since the chimpanzees are endangered, when found the Park rules only restrict you from being in their presence for only one hour. You will spend one hour watching them play, feed, and jump from one tree branch to another as you also take photos. Retreat to the lodge for your lunch, you will check out from the lodge and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park a drive taking you 3-4 hours. You will arrive during dinner time.

Arise from your beds and have your breakfast then you will head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel overlooking Lake Edward and George.
