Be picked up by your driver guide as soon as you arrive at the airport in Kigali who will give you a short briefing regarding this safari. The briefing will mainly consist of the rules and regulations to follow on this safari and immediately after briefing, heady visitor before any trek is done. Transfer to the Kibumba tented camp which is near the Nyirangongo volcanoes or else move to Bukima tented camp which shares the same border with Virunga National park. Have your meals at your lodge and then wait for the next activity.

Enjoy your morning breakfast at your lodge and then drive heading for gorilla trekking. Drive to the Bukima patrol center for your passport and permit details. Park officials will give you a short briefing and trek from here. This is the point where all trekking activities in Virunga are done. The ranger guide will later take you into the forest to look for the gorillas.

The experience normally takes 2-7 hours hiking the rangers of Virunga National park. When you reach them you will be given 1hour in their presence taking photos and videos. After the trekking, you will be rewarded with a trekking certificate and then drive to your lodge for late lunch and have leisure and optionally have a community walk and return to your accommodation and have a rest.

Take breakfast at the lodge and later head to Kigali city with an option of visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre to see the remains of 1994 Rwandan genocide victims which claimed the lives of over 800,000 people in only 100 days. Drive to Kigali airport and fly back home.
